The Goo Monster

Mom told me to clean my room, but I was too tired. I went to sleep. It was a dark, dark night. I heard a weird noise. I jumped out of bed and looked down the hallway. There was nothing.
I walked down the hallway to see where the noise was coming from. I still couldn’t find anything. After that, I crept down the stairs to look. Then I heard a loud SCREEEEEEEECH!
There was goo all over the floor. It was sliding down the stairs from my bedroom into the corner. It started forming into a giant Goo Monster.
The Goo Monster started eating everything in the house. It was eating all the food. It was eating all the furniture. There was barely anything left to eat and it was heading toward me!
I ran, but the Goo Monster was right behind me. Then I tripped. I was afraid I was going to die because it was going to eat me!
I pulled myself up and ran for my bedroom door. I slammed the door and locked it. I started stacking stuff in front of the door.
The Goo Monster ate the door and started eating all the stuff I used to make a barricade! So I opened my window and climbed onto the porch. I ran from the porch into the woods. I hid behind a tree to see what would happen next.
The light came on in my room and I could see the shadow of the Goo Monster eating all the stuff in my bedroom. After he ate all the junk in my bedroom, he jumped out the window. All the goo splattered on the ground with a loud sloshing noise. The goo absorbed into the ground. The Goo Monster was gone.
I went back to the house and opened my bedroom door. The Goo Monster had cleaned out my room. All my furniture and clothes were gone. The only thing left was a pair of dirty underwear in the corner.
The next morning, Mom screamed when she saw all the furniture was gone. “What happened?” she asked.
“The Goo Monster ate it all,” I said.
“That will teach you to clean your room the next time I tell you!” Mom scolded. “All that goo from under your rug turned into a monster!”
I cleaned my room every day after that. No more Goo Monster!
