Fort McHenry

By: Hallie Cannon, age 8

Do you want to be informed about our field trip?

Then let’s sit down and enjoy my cool report.

Fort McHenry was made of brick. It is named Fort McHenry because it was named after James McHenry. When my family and I went to Fort McHenry, we had no clue about Fort McHenry. When we do research about Fort McHenry in the classroom, we can learn a lot of facts about it.

Fort McHenry had lots of gunpowder in it.

Also, the soldiers had small spaces except the head captains. They had bigger rooms and a lot more space. When you go to Fort McHenry, you can’t go in the fort because it is all boarded up and there’s a huge gate around it.

At Fort McHenry, some people who fought in the war were killed by the British. I think that a lot of people survived during war. That’s all the facts I have right now so good night and thank you all for a wonderful night. I love you all.
