Caterpillar Planter

What you need:

· Egg carton

· Scissors

· Crayon, paints, or markers

· Two pipe cleaners

· Potting soil

· Seeds or small potting flowers

· Wax paper

 

 

Instructions as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Cut at least four (or more) connecting cups from egg carton.

2. Draw a face on one end of this caterpillar.

3. Decorate the rest of the caterpillar’s body with your crayons, paints, or markers.

4. Lightly cover the bottom of each cup with potting soil.

5. Place seeds or small potting flowers in each cup.

6. Cover seeds or flowers with soil.

7. Lightly pat down.

8. Push two pipe cleaners into the soil of the caterpillar’s head.

9. Slightly curl the ends of the pipe cleaners to form antennae.

10. Cut wax paper the length of caterpillar.

11. Place caterpillar on top of wax paper.

12. Water each cup.

 

 

Make sure to water your seeds every couple of days and soon you’ll see your seeds sprout.
