Butterfly Planter

Children of all ages love to dig in the dirt and see how things grow. This fun craft lets little hands get dirty and make their own personal planter as well. It also makes a great gift.

 

What You Need:

· Large craft foam sheet, any color

· Pre-cut foam stickers (any kind you like)

· Safety scissors

· Craft glue

· Pencil

· Marker, any color

· Small plastic container

· Pre-cut Butterfly foam (you can get this at any craft store)

· Planting soil

· Small plant

 

Substitute Items

· Glue dots

· Small planter

· Glue gun (adult use only)

 

Instructions as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Trace butterfly pattern on your foam sheet. Cut out.

2. Use marker to outline butterfly body.

3. Write your name in body of butterfly.

4. Glue pre-cut foam stickers to make butterfly wing designs.

5. Let dry for about ten minutes.

6. Glue small plastic container to foam butterfly.

7. Glue pre-cut stickers to plastic container.

8. Leave to dry for an hour.

9. Add a small amount of planting soil in container (about three  inches).

10. Place plant inside container, add enough soil to fill container to the top, and pack soil lightly.

11. Water.
