A Fairy’s House

By: VS Grenier

Do you have a garden and wish that fairies would come and visit? Have you ever  thought about having fairies living among your pretty flowers? Here is a fun and easy  craft that will delight those twirling wonders we call fairies.

What you need:

· 6” wooden birdhouse (any shape)

· Handful of small twigs

· Watercolor paints

· Paintbrush

· Craft glue

· Plastic cup of water

Instructions as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Fill plastic cup with water.

2. Use watercolors to paint wooden birdhouse. Make sure to use lots of water. This helps  the paint act like a wood stain. Let dry.

3. Break twigs in half. They don’t have to be the same length.

4. Glue twigs to the roof of the birdhouse. This helps the house hide better among the plants in your garden.

5. Place the birdhouse in your garden under a bush or next to some pretty flowers.

You can put grass, dried leaves, and flower petals inside the house for the fairies to make a nice comfortable bed to sleep on. Another thing you might want to add is a chime and gazing ball near the fairy house. Fairies like shiny items and reflective objects. The chimes will also let you know if fairies have moved in. They will ring the chimes each time they fly by.
